Designed by the award-winning British toy designer Danielle Hanson, Tender Leaf's whimsical wooden toys are created to inspire imagination and promote learning through play. From raw wood to finished product, all Tender Leaf toys are made at the same family-run factory in Indonesia, Mentari International. Operating with high standards of training and wellbeing, Mentari International provides employment for hundreds of local villagers. Once each toy has been hand-painted, assembled and checked, it is wrapped in paper and packaged in recycled cardboard. Deeply committed to protecting Indonesia’s natural resources, Tender Leaf toys are made with reclaimed rubberwood, a by-product of the latex industry. In addition, for every tree Tender Leaf uses, a new one is planted. It comes as no surprise that Tender Leaf was awarded the ICTI Ethical Toy Program seal of approval for their ethical and sustainable supply chain!
